Sue and Steve Felgate, have lived in Hay-on-Wye for 20 years and in 2010 opened their Hay-on-Wye self-catering accommodation at Hay Riverside Retreats. Ten years earllier, in 2000, they developed Castara Retreats, a successful Caribbean eco resort in Tobago. The principles are the same as for Castara Retreats in that we aim to provide self catering Wales accommodation at the same level of quality that we would seek for ourselves were we coming to Hay on holiday. This means a lovely location, with good views and space to sit outside and stylish interiors with comfortable furniture and good quality equipment.
Steve is responsible for promoting and marketing Hay Riverside Retreats and he aims to work with advertisers and agencies that offer good quality information for clients to look at. His wife, Sue, looks after reservations and liaises with clients by email and telephone prior to their arrival. Sue Jones acts as housekeeper and makes sure that everything is as it should be for clients looking for a 5 star holiday to feel happy on arrival.
