Our three luxury Hay-on-Wye accommodations are part of an exclusive new development with spectacular views overlooking the river and yet close to the centre of Hay on Wye. These holiday getaways are designed and equipped to exactly the same specification, except for the original works by local artists in each room.
Hay Riverside Retreats offers a trio of luxury holiday houses at 24, 25, and 26 Millbank, each with three floors of contemporary holiday accommodation looking onto the riverbank in Hay on Wye:
- The ground floor kitchen is beautifully designed for cooking and dining with the additional benefit of French doors leading onto a paved terrace with furniture for eating outside.
- The middle floor has a spacious living room overlooking the river with folding glass doors and a 17 foot wide balcony. Across a small hall is the master bedroom with kingsize bed and en-suite shower.
- The top floor has another large bedroom that can be configured with either a super king-sized bed or twins. Also on this floor are a single bedroom/study and a bath and shower room.

There are lots of options for lighting, with lamps, wall lights and spot lights with adjustable dimmers to suit all moods.
We have a long standing relationship with artists who exhibit locally at the highly regarded Kilvert Gallery and are delighted to feature their work in our luxury self-catering holiday accommodations, Hay on Wye. Many of these works are for sale, and a brochure is available in each accommodation.
In creating Hay Riverside Retreats we wanted to create something other than classic cottage luxury in Wales. We saw the need for contemporary self-catering accommodation in Hay on Wye that is aesthetically pleasing and environmentally sensitive.
