We invite you to view a slideshow (click on any photograph) of 26 Millbank, one of our three identical houses, starting with the ground floor featuring the kitchen and outside terrace both overlooking the River Wye.
The kitchen is a spacious cooking and dining area measuring 17 x 17 feet with double doors opening onto the outside terrace. You can see from the photographs that both the kitchen and terrace have wonderful views of the riverside where chestnut trees line the bank with the expanse of river beyond.
The kitchen is well equipped with quality pots and pans, sharp knives and all the other accessories that you would expect in luxury self catering accommodation in Wales. We provide Neff equipment for the gas hob and electric cooker, a full height fridge-freezer, washer-drier and of course the essential dishwasher. Whether you are preparing meals or ordering from the local wholefood delicatessen or takeaways, we have created stylish environments for inside and outside dining with glass dining tables and seating for up to 5 guests.
The contemporary furniture, stylish paintings and options for lighting create an elegant space for leisurely breakfasts, family lunches or romantic suppers.
The secluded terrace adds to the sense of country luxury. It’s the perfect place to sit with a book and enjoy the sounds of the river, or to watch the sun set and the stars appear. There is discrete lighting and terrace furniture for eating al fesco.
Ground floor access is via a hallway where you can hang your coats or store your empty luggage in the cupboard under the stairs. There is also a downstairs cloakroom. Outside is the car port with room for two vehicles.
Our luxury holiday rentals in Hay on Wye are located about 50 metres from Broad Street in a small private development called Millbank. All three properties are furnished and equipped to exactly the same standard and look, except for the original works of art.
